Keith Aldis Appointed as Chairman of the Masonry Association of Great Britain
The Masonry Association of Great Britain (MAGB) has announced the appointment of Keith Aldis as its new Chairman, marking an exciting new chapter for the Association and the wider masonry industry.
A respected figure with a strong track record across multiple sectors, Keith brings with him decades of experience in construction, training and trade association leadership. For the past nine years, he served as Chief Executive of the Brick Development Association, where he became a trusted advocate within the UK’s brick industry. Keith’s appointment represents a pivotal step forward for the MAGB. With his deep industry knowledge, established networks and proven ability to unite stakeholders, he is well-positioned to advance the Association’s mission: to strengthen skills, raise standards and provide a powerful collective voice for the masonry industry.
Commenting on his appointment, Keith says: “I’ve always believed that good governance, strong professionalism and investing in people are the real keys to success. Trade associations work best when they listen to their members, build trust and bring everyone together around a shared voice. I’m grateful to the Masonry Association of Great Britain for this opportunity, and I’m really looking forward to working with the team and our members to strengthen and support the sector.”
The MAGB is a dedicated trade body representing all companies, businesses and organisations working and supplying the masonry sector of the UK construction industry. The organisation’s mission is to unite masonry contractors, manufacturers, suppliers and innovators, and create a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge-sharing across a national and international landscape.
Founded in response to a new government, the association supports the UK’s efforts to "Get Britain Building” by ensuring the whole masonry supply chain has a united voice. In order to realise its ambitious building agenda, the government will need a motivated, skilled workforce at every level of the supply chain and The MAGB plays a crucial role in achieving this. The association works with the government in vital areas, along with focusing on quality apprenticeships, social corporate responsibility and upskilling through five strategically placed training locations across the UK.
Membership of the MAGB consists of EU and non-EU suppliers to the UK Masonry industry and will support large, SME and micro businesses, with a focus on key issues in the following areas of the UK construction industry:
● Skills, Training, Competency and CITB support
● Immigration and Trade Policies
● Technical Advice
● Research and Technology
● Sustainability
● Diversity
● Social Value
